Beauty Blonde Woman Portrait. Beautiful model girl with long curSummer is almost here and that means it’s time for a new hairstyle and color. Can’t decide on what look you want? If not, Chrysalis Salon has come up with the hottest summer 2014 colors for your hair. From bright blonde to a light blue, there is a color for everyone.

Bright Blonde: Monochromatic blonde is one of the most sought after shades of the season and is good for anyone nervous about bleaching. This ultra-light color is created by a high-lift, single process that will not damage your hair. Women with lighter skin tones are often the best choices for this color. Try and stay away from shades that are too white or ashy.

Honey Blondes/Rooty Dimension: Anyone with dark blonde or light brown hair looking to maintain most of their natural color should go for a honey hue with a soft scattering of highlights to generate depth at the roots. The key is creating depth at the roots that fades into lighter tips with a soft haze between both shades. The end result will create a more youthful appearance.

Bold Reds: This summer is all about red everything. It’s all about a bright hue that will make your eyes pop and stand out. When going red, you have the option to choose a shade with either copper or blue undertones. A great tip is to select a blue-based color, with minimal highlights, so the base can take center stage.

Caramel Brunette: For all the brown-haired women this summer season, it’s all about rich monochromatic shades with light contrasts. If you have dark hair, we suggest a lighter honey highlight. Ombre is still in as well but should avoid highlighting your roots where it will keep your hair looking soft, pretty and sophisticated. Stay away from too much contrast at the roots with light highlights since this will create a harsh zebra effect.

Easter Pastels: Many celebrities are rocking the rainbow colors including Kelly Osbourne, Nicole Richie and Ireland Baldwin. Since more celebrities are taking the plunge into color, more clients become more experimental as well. This look is definitely hot and edgy right now for the summer season.
